Good 'ol Rexburg

Well we haven't posted in a couple of weeks and so here is an update for the Chirinos Household.

We decided to take a real quick trip last Saturday and go to Utah for a work dinner for Cris. It was really good and got to see some summer co-workers. The only done side was we thought it was going to be hour and half to two hour dinner....four hours!! Longest dinner party ever! But it was good they had a comedian and a live band for entertainment.

On Tuesday after work we went to a doctor appointment and everything is still going good. Baby is going good as am I. After the appointment we decided that we really needed to get the car washed...due to driving to Utah and all the lush the car was REALLY dirty.

So we get there and are getting the scrub down by the guys (it was an automated car wash at the dealership were we get our oil changed) so we start and are just sitting there chatting away only having been in there a minute maybe, we were suddenly shoved/hit through the car was...to prety much the end...where the car is getting rinsed off and dried.

At first I though that the car wash had broken on us or something, but after sitting there for a second Cris said that we were just re-ended....Yes re-ended in an automated car wash...it is possible!

So we drive out and expecting the worst we go and look at our bumper. Since we have a trailer hitch, we think that took a big hit but the bumper wasn't too bad. There are some scrapes and dents but it was still drivable.

I get back in the car because it is kind of cold out and so Cris stays back to talk to the driver of the other car. His wife was with him and she was shaking! Poor lady, thought she was about to break down. I then get out of the car to see what the heck happened and she sees my stomach and oh man well if she wasn't terrified before she was now!

After reassuring her a hundred times that I was fine and talking with the cop and dealership this is what happened. The older couple behind (in their less than a yr old car) was putting their car from neutral to drive when the gas pedal literally broke off. When he put it into drive, it was like he had his pedal to the floor so his car gunned it into the back of ours. But since we were also in neutral it just kinda shoved us through the car wash.

After talking to insurance companies and having a car place look at our jeep, they are going to replace the bumper and make it all better! So in the end we are all good. The baby is perfectly fine, moving just as much as he did before.

So that is the story of our crazy week! Also finals are over YAY!!! and now the baby can make his grand appearance anytime he pleases!
